The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI declared this year the Year for Priests beginning on the Feast for the Sacred Heart, June 19, 2009 - June 19, 2010.  Bishop Thomas Omlsted visited St. John Vianney parish on November 9, 2009 to bless & dedicate this statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in honor of the Year for Priests.  This statue was created by Rob Koehl, parishioner and Youth Minister, and can be found as you walk up to the main entrance of the Church.
